I hear this term and relationship comes to mind. I remember how I was crying to God in the morning and saying how I dit feel as though I had the strength to live out what he has set for me. Not that I didn't believe him when he says that he has good plans forme but at times I find myself struggling to walk the journey. Most times when I interact with the word commitment I tend to think about romantic relationships.

I am in a season of relearning certain concepts about faith, one of them being that human relationships are similar to my relationship with God. Imagine that God committed toyou before you committed to him?

Imagine that he sought you first and thencommitted, way before you even knew he existed. He loved you so much that he gave hisson to die on the cross as an expressionof that love towards you. In reference to John 3:16 and Romans 5:8

Commitment is defined asthe state or quality of being dedicated to a cause, activity. Synonyms to thisare dedication, devotion, loyalty and faithfulness. So all along God has beendedicated to the cause he has for your life and for my life. He is devoted, loyal and faithful.

My question is have you been committed to him. Are youleaning into his grace to take you through the journey that he has set foryou? Not only is he committed but he also gives you what you require in order towalk with him.

Are you committed to him as he is committed to you? He says that he who began a good work in you isfaithful to bring it into accomplishment. God is faithful even when we arefaithless. Are you committed to him. Are you trusting him to take you through, not leaning on your own understanding?
