I don’t know whether you have ever gotten to a place in life, when you feel so tired because nothing seems to be going right?
Well I have been in such a place not once but several times. To be honest most times I don’t know how I stay sane and still manage to have a smile on my face. This got me thinking; “what makes me push on even when faced with storms?” The answer ‘hope in God’. I remain hopeful because I know that God has my back. That even when doubt comes; I choose to trust in God. As long as I remain in him he will work all things together for my good. I choose to listen to the voice of truth; as casting crowns will put it.
Hope stirs our faith to keep holding on and to keep trusting that God is faithful. faithful to bring to completion that which he started. Hope allows us to submit before God and allow his grace to be sufficient in our moment of weakness.
Most importantly hope reminds us that Christ didn’t leave us as orphans. Christ left us with the Holy Spirit, our helper and comforter. Hope reminds us that the Holy Spirit intercedes on our behalf as romans 8 vs 27. Hope reminds us that Christ is our High priest who intercedes for us as Hebrews 7 vs 25 and 26 reminds us.
Hope reminds us that we are hidden with Christ in God…as Colossians 3 vs 3 reminds us. I remember reading this quote on someone’s status update; it says
God is making things happen for you. Even when you don’t see it, even when you can’t feel it. Even if it’s not evident, God is working on your prayers.
So I urge you to remain Hopeful in God through Christ Jesus our Lord.
