Are we good stewards?

We all desire that we want to see come to pass in our lives. Maybe go back to school, get married, have a good job and many others things. How do we make all this thing we desire to come to pass? I don’t know whether when you were younger you had made a list on what you want your life to be when getting to a certain age… Then we get to that age and we realize we may not exactly be where we want to be.

So I have been asking myself why that happens…that getting to see the desires we have come to pass becomes a challenge? So I recently watched a lady called Rina Hicks share on financial planning and she said something that caught my attention…

“making wealth is not going to happen by wishing; we make wealth by knowing our purpose, planning and learning about finances…so as to become good managers at it."

It got me thinking on what stewardship is?

Stewardship is defined as job of supervising or taking care of something such as an organization or property. I believe the life we have has been given to us by God; we ought to be good stewards of it. Maybe we haven’t realized the full potential that we have because we have not been good stewards with what god has already given us. Scripture talks on stewardship

Genesis chapter 2:15; ‘The Lord God took the man and put him in the garden of Eden to tend and keep it.’

Proverbs 27:18 says ‘whoever keeps the fig tree will eat its fruits; so he who waits on his master will be honored.’

God placed man in a garden to tend and keep it and whoever keeps the fig tree will eat of its fruits.

Are we good stewards? Is the reason that we are stuck in a particular area of our life due to us not being faithful with the little? Are we poor managers or good managers of the resources availed to us by God?

What kind of a steward are you?
