THE JOURNEY :WAITING ON THE LORD

Have you ever been anxious to move from point A to B at any time in your life’s journey? For instance, if you are travelling through Air, Land or water but are told to wait; either the plane, bus or cruise couldn’t start the journey as expected. I don’t know how we take the word wait in such instances.

Have you ever been anxious to move from point A to B at any time in your life’s journey? For instance, if you are travelling through Air, Land or water but are told to wait; either the plane, bus or cruise couldn’t start the journey as expected. I don’t know how we take the word wait in such instances.

I remember the many times I have travelled with my son. He's always anxious to leave home and start the journey to our slotted destination. One thing he definitely doesn’t take too well is the word wait because of his super excited. This at times applies to me in my Christian walk. I am always excited to do new things for the kingdom of God. Though their times some of the things am expecting or want to happen to take time. In such moments waiting becomes very difficult.

With time I have come to know that waiting upon the Lord is important. He is a lamp unto our feet and a light onto our path. He makes things beautiful in his own time. His promises are true and his word doesn’t return to him void. Habakkuk wasn’t bluffing when he said that if we write our vision down when the time comes it will not tarry.

I love Travis green’s song while am waiting, it just reminds me to focus on God especially when I feel that something I'm trusting God to do is taking time. As you wait on God don’t be anxious; but while waiting, wait in thanksgiving. Make your supplication known to him. Remember that as you wait your character is being moulded. So that in perseverance you gain hope which never disappoints in Christ Jesus.
